Senior Advisor - Supply Chain Operations, Lilongwe
Our client Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) is seeking a Senior Advisor – Supply Chain Operations in anticipation of a USAID-funded project in Malawi.
The overall goal of this project is to ensure that the people of Malawi have access to adequate quantities of affordable, essential medicines and health supplies by strengthening the national health supply chain. This position will be based in Lilongwe.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Senior Advisor for Supply Chain Operations will ensure that systems and processes are in place for the successful development, implementation, and evaluation of national and district program plans that will improve the availability and delivery of quality health commodities and programs in Malawi. Together with the Chief of Party and Senior Advisors, s/he will assist the Government of Malawi’s pharmaceutical sector in the review, development, and implementation of policies and procedures to strengthen supply chain operations. The Senior Advisor for Supply Chain Operations will provide technical expertise and strategy across the following key areas: supply chain system assessment approaches and tools; product selection; forecasting and quantification methods and tools; inventory control and distribution systems; and management information systems. When necessary, s/he will represent the CA-USA to institutional partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree in business, pharmacy, or public health with an emphasis in supply chain management.
-Solid experience with USAID.
-Significant experience in at least two of the following key areas:
a. Supply chain system assessment approaches and tools
b. Product selection
d. Forecasting and quantification methods and tools
e. Procurement processes (policy)
f. Inventory control and distribution systems
g. Management information systems
-Knowledge and/or understanding of the supply chain management system for health commodities in Malawi preferred.
